Committees
Standing
committees are established to work in collaboration with the Board of
Directors to ensure the accomplishment of specific AASCIN goals and
objectives. Committee Chairs will establish criteria for committee
membership. Committee members are selected by committee chairs on the basis
of the following criteria: (1) Prior committee contributions and experience;
(2) Educational preparation; (3) Previous experience; (4) Geographical
representation; (5) Appropriate balance of public and private sector
representation.
With the
exception of the Nominating Committee, the term of office for committee
members is three years. Members may serve a maximum of two consecutive
terms.
Members
interested in serving on a committee must submit a Committee Interest Sheet
by May 1 of each year. New committee members will be notified by May 15 of
that year, and assume their positions at the close of the Annual Business
Meeting in September. |
